Mugen Honda Civic Si

The Honda Mugen Civic Si Gr.A Racer was based on the popular Civic hatchback and used a 1,600cc DOHC engine. Mugen tuned this car within the Gr. A race regulations and the machine featured many reinforcing parts as well as an improved engine which produced 170hp. The car made its debut in the 3rd round of the 1985 All Japan Touring Car Championships, and although it retired due to mechanical trouble, it achieved an impressive win at its second race by defeating the larger-engined BMW 635CSi.
