Touted as one of the most radical bikes of its generation, the KR500 featured a monocoque chassis, a water-cooled two stroke 4-cylinder engine, uni-trak rear suspension and mechanical anti-dive. The monocoque frame was specially designed for a low center of gravity, reduced weight and easy maintenance. With a 120hp engine, the KR500 was one of the most powerful 500cc bikes of its time. 250cc and 350cc world champion Kork Ballington produced consistent results on the KR500 but was unable to match it with riders like three-time world champion Kenny Roberts (Yamaha) and Freddie Spencer (Honda). Features all high-quality detailing of the original kit. Comes with all new Cartograf decals, with markings for Ballingtons 1982 bike.
